One day, I was outside struggling with a subject to shoot for a film class when my gaze was pulled upward. I became enamored by the way the buildings danced and reflected upon each other. And by that, I mean reflections cast from building to building, distorted within each other, creating this illusion of dancing windows.

After some amount of time—it could've been 30 seconds or it could've been 30 minutes—I returned to reality from my enchantment, snapped a picture, and started heading back home. On my jaunt back, I realized that in that specific window-watching moment, I was doing nothing but being in that moment. It was blissful, serene, intimate. I was being fully present. Now I pay a little extra attention to staying here, now, and cherishing the moment at hand before it is lost.
